Exact model and stock audit refreshed 23 October 2026 · New Zealand Ray-Ban buying guide

Choose Ray-Ban sunglasses by exact model and lens code, not by family name alone. Wayfarer, Aviator and Clubmaster describe the broad design language; measurements, bridge, temples, lens colour and polarisation decide the exact buying choice.

All six exact variants remained active when rechecked on 23 October 2026. Three had positive Gadgets Online NZ inventory; RB2140 901/58 Original Wayfarer, RB3016 W0366 Clubmaster and RB4396 667771 Warren were sold out. Keep the live product page as the source of truth before ordering or travelling to view a specific frame.

Stock note: RB2140 901/58 Original Wayfarer, Clubmaster RB3016 and RB4396 667771 Warren were sold out when rechecked on 23 October 2026. Aviator RB3025, Jack RB3565 and RB3721CH remained in stock. Availability can change; use each live product page before ordering.

Original Wayfarer vs Warren

Original Wayfarer RB2140 and Warren RB4396 both use 54mm lenses in these variants, but they are not the same fit. Wayfarer is 54–18–150 with classic acetate geometry and confirmed polarised lenses; Warren is 54–20–145 with a cleaner rectangular front.

Aviator vs Jack

Aviator RB3025 uses larger 58mm pilot lenses, a narrow 14mm bridge and 135mm temples. Jack RB3565 is 53–20–145 with a softer oval front. Choose Aviator for classic pilot proportions; choose Jack when a smaller front and wider bridge suit your reference pair better.

Clubmaster — small lens does not equal smallest overall fit

Clubmaster RB3016 is 49–21–140. It has the smallest lens width here, but its 21mm bridge and strong browline mean you should compare all three measurements rather than assuming “49mm” tells the whole fit story.

Which exact variants are polarised?

The RB2140 901/58 and RB3721CH 9144A1 are explicitly identified as polarised in the exact product records. The Aviator, Clubmaster, Warren and Jack variants reviewed here are not labelled polarised in those exact records.

How to choose Ray-Ban size online

  1. Use a comfortable pair you already own as the reference.
  2. Compare lens width, bridge and temple length together.
  3. Compare material and shape as well as measurements.
  4. Check the exact model/colour code because lens specifications can change within a family.
  5. Confirm live stock before travelling to view a specific variant.

Our Sunglasses for Your Face Shape & Fit guide adds proportion advice, but actual measurements are more reliable than rigid face-shape rules.

Frequently asked questions

Are all Ray-Ban sunglasses polarised?

No. Polarisation is specific to the exact lens option.

Is Wayfarer the same fit as Aviator?

No. Their materials, bridge designs, lens shapes and measurements differ substantially.

How do I know my Ray-Ban size?

Compare the three-number measurements with a pair you already wear comfortably; do not use lens width alone.
